Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Sand Storm – SKU# 913C

Yaaaayieeeee!!! Loooooongg weekend! After long here in Dubai we are having long weekend. No plans as such, as it is too hot to even go out for anything other than malls, where more than half the UAE population will be there. Most probably will be chilling like a villain at home and catch up on beauty sleep. What you plans? Do leave comment below.

Moving on, today I am reviewing the most affordable brand after Essence which has recently hit the market – Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Sand Storm (AED 13).

About the product:
This is basically our Magnum Opus of lipstick—it’s the one thing we absolutely MUST put on when we’ve got a cocktail party or black tie event. This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte cream finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts coenzyme Q10 and vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

Product claims:

  • 4-hour longwearing lip colors leave a semi-matte cream finish
  • Hyaluronic Microspheres adhere to lips to make them long-lasting
  • An exclusive polymer complex make your lips cushiony and plump
  • Natural marine plant extracts coenzyme Q10 and vitamins A & E help smooth lips
  • Winner of the Allure Best of Beauty Award!

My Review on Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in Sand Storm – SKU# 913C:

I got this lipstick after seeing it with my friend in office. It looked gorgeous on her. I really wanted to get a brown shade for myself, but for some odd reason it would look grey and ugly on me. However, this particular color has a tint of peach and orange in it; which worked well with my skin tone.

The casing of the lipstick is sturdy with plastic cap which can easily crack if not handled with care. The inside of the cap always gets some product on it when you take it off or put it back. The solution to this is to apply a thin layer of Vaseline in the inside of the cap, and avoid spoiling the lipstick.

The product as the company truly claims, has a semi-matte creamy finish. The color is a beautiful brownish orange color, that kind of reminds me of chocolate ice-cream. The lipstick does not make your lips dry and is smooth upon application. It has moisturizing affect as the lipstick has vitamins A & E.

The product has the tendency to sit in the fine lines of the lips, as the Lakme Absolute Matter Lipstick I reviewed last here. However, it looks and feels different for some reason.

The product lasts for good 3.5 to 4 hours; but then again, the no lipstick’s last long on me. My friend applied hers in the morning, and it stayed for more than 4 hours. So I guess it depends from lips to lips.

– Creamy texture
– Moisturizing
– Does not dry your lips
– Stays more than 4 hours if you don’t lick your lips every now and then
– Affordable
– Smooth application
– Everyday natural color

– Probably that it settles in the fine lines of your lips. However, it does not accentuate the flaws.

Final Verdict:

I am in love with this brand, color and product. For the price, you can actually pick up more than 1 piece without burning a hole in your pocket. The best thing for me, it is available at the mall (Ansar Mall – Shajrah, UAE) right next to my house. Walking distance. I will be picking up more colors from this brands. I already have their eyeshadow trio and a single glitter eyeshadow. I need to try them out before putting it up on blog. So do look out for this space.

Till then, have an awesome Eid and pay Allah accept your prayers. Ameen

Stay Blessed and Beautiful!
