My Review on Lakme Absolute Matte Lipstick in Pink Brick 212

The shade is subtle pink with a hint of mauve in it. The color also has a tint of silver shimmer, which is unusual for a matte lipstick. But since the shimmer is in very concentrate form, it works fine for me. Also, it does not feel chunky or grainy upon application.

The texture of the lipstick is smooth and creamy as claimed by Lakme, however it does not have one sweep color payoff. The pigment of the product is not that great. You need to build the product to get the color on pigmented lips.

For matte, the product is hydrating and does not dry off. However, this product actually brings out the flaws of your lips. If your lips are not well exfoilated or moisturised, the color sets in the lip and the cracks become evident. The product settles a lot into the fine lines of the lips. And since the finish of the lipstick is powdery matte, the color looks patchy overall.

The positive part of the product is that it does not fade off quickly. This lipstick has a mild vanilla fragrance and sweet to taste – No wonder it does not last long!.

– Shimmer is not evident on the lips
– Being matte, the lipstick does not feel dry
– Creamy and smooth texture
– Non sticky formula
– Color does not fade off quickly

– Color settles into fine lines of lips, thus making the lips look patchy and cheap
– Color needs to be built if the lips are pigmented
– Accentuates flaws of your lips if not well hydrated

Final Verdict:

If I have to sum up the review, I don’t think I would like to purchase more fro this line of Lakme. I doubt if they still sell this line. If you plan to buy this product, make sure you have well hydrated and non pigmented lips; as this product will suit well for such people.

Stay Blessed and Beautiful!
